@ Leslie Smith
You may participate in the Lord’s Supper regularly—but have you ever paused to wonder about the rich meaning behind that first Passover in the Upper Room? This workshop will take you on a journey from the Exodus story to its fulfillment in Jesus, revealing fresh insights that can enrich your Easter season. Together, we’ll share in a shortened version of a Messianic Seder—a beautiful tradition that weaves Scripture, history, and symbolism into a celebration of God’s redemption. You’ll not only experience the sights, tastes, and sounds of the Seder, but you’ll also leave with practical resources to bring this experience to life in your own home next April—whether with friends, family, children, or grandchildren. Come ready to learn, taste, and be inspired!
Leslie Smith and her husband, Chris, have been inviting people to their table for Seder meals for 28 years—sometimes it’s a lively crowd, sometimes just a couple of guests, sometimes at church, but it is always rich with meaning and conversation. Professionally, Leslie has spent her entire career in education, ministry, or a joyful mix of both. When she’s not teaching or serving, you’ll find her in the garden, out kayaking, trying new recipes, or curled up with a good book. She and Chris make their home with their three young adult “kids” and the boundless energy of their 4-year-old Whoodle in a 125-year-old house in Northeast Minneapolis, where the welcome mat is always out, no matter how messy the house is, and a cuppa chai is always waiting.
